Tampametromasters.org Updates
Tim has updated the web site to add a section for
Newsletters as well as
Y-Nats. We will try to keep the latest info readily available on the web
site. Check back often for the latest news! Thanks Tim!
Y-Nats
Updates
The Y folks have sent out a new meet entry/info packet. It is available at the
TMM web site in the
Y-Nats section. Please use this if you have not yet filled out your
entries. The main change is Social has been scheduled, and is only $10 per
person with a buffet.
If you've already filled out your entries, and want to go to the social, you can
just pencil it in on the individual entry form.
Remember we need the entries in by Feb 28 to Mark Calvert so we can get
everything bundled up and signed off and have the Y cut a single check for the
entries..
Practice Updates
Just a reminders, Saturday practices for the New Tampa YMCA group are now 8 -
10am starting this Saturday! Coach Beth won't be there... anyone up for Sharks
and Minnows?!
Giveback
If you are interested in volunteer activities with the Adaptive Swim Program,
let Tara Deering know. They swim at 10am on Saturdays, and its a great way to
help special needs children and some adults learn to swim and have fun in the
water.
The Y is starting the Building Strong Kids campaign, so please seek out more
information on it. More information will be coming.
If you are interested in teaching swim lessons part time, contact Karen Ness.
As Y staff, there are some benefits....
We have an opportunity to help set the direction for the YMCA Aquatics programs,
as a volunteer committee is forming. The goals are still being defined, but
will include all aquatics programs, wish lists for facility improvements, and
fund raising. If you are interested in participating, and helping improve the
overall aquatics programs at the Y, let Mark Calvert know.
