Competitions
11 swimmers from TMM competed this past weekend at the SUN Masters Valentines
meet in Clearwater at the Long Center (thankfully indoors). Lots of good swims,
and a good time was had by all. We had several great swims and high point
winners, and we finished 5th overall, and all the teams that beat us had several
more swimmers. A good showing for TMM!
Here are our high point winners:
1 Jennie Faith 25-29
3 Tara Deering 30 - 24 - way to rally, with only 4 events on Sunday!
1 Karen Becker 40 -44 - she's glad she did the 400 IM! For the Team!
2 Jay Smith 40 -44 - how did you lose? No one came close in the races
4 Gene Peters - 45 - 49 - great swimming Gene. Welcome to the team!
2 Mark Calvert - 50 - 54 - should have swam that 100 back
4 Mike Ruelf - 55 - 59 - swim more, and get the glory! You're right on the cusp
of greatness!
4 Sheila Carpenter van-Dijk - 60 64 - close, just swim more races!

Swimmers to TMM
Welcome Gene Peters to TMM. He lives in Riverview, and trains down there on his
own at LA Fitness. Gene recently transferred to TMM, and he swam both days with
us at Clearwater, and got right into the mix with the team, and some good
racing. Welcome Gene!
