TMM takes 2nd place at St. Pete!
TMM took second place overall, first among the visiting teams! I'm sure Dave
Naffziger will be digging through the archives, bu this may be the highest TMM
finish in a long while... maybe ever. TMM outpaced the next closest team team,
the Sarasota Y Sharks, 1021 to 833 points. TMM women took 2nd and the men took
3rd.
We had many new swimmers... many who competed for the first time in years... and
many who competed for the first time ever! It was great to have so many
swimmers, and have some fun swimming, and after the meet with get togethers at
4th Street Shrimp Factory on Saturday, and El Cap on Sunday.
Congrats to all the TMM swimmers this weekend!
Several great swims and lots of fun over the weekend. Several TMMers won high
point awards (nice towels!):
- Molly Brammer, 18-24, 3rd
- Jeff Magol, 18-24, 1st
- Matt Meeks, 18-24, 2nd
- Jenn Cullen, 25-29 2nd
- Tara Deering, 30-34, 2nd
- Brandon Dandrow, 30-34, 1st
- Morgan Rosenkranz, 35-39, 3rd
- David Lewis, 35-39, 2nd
- Luke Paddington, 35-39, 3rd
- Jay Smith, 40-44, 3rd
- Gene Peters, 45-49, 3rd
- Mike Ruelf, 55-59, 2nd
Congratulations! (Hint: want to do well in high point? Swim lots and lots of
events!... for the team!...and for the towel!)
